This is a no nonsense book on how to get quickly down to
component values for the EMI filter. High Q component
is required for the main filter components, but lists places
where a low Q, less expensive, component may be used. This
method yields a low circuit, Q, so the filter will not oscillate.
This book provides matrix transfer functions for all the
needed circuitry, so the reader can develop their own computer
program, or can, also, purchase the EMI filter design from
Sherwood Associates. EMI Filter Design gives quick techniques
to determine which over limit peak on the spectrum analyzer
trace requires the most loss, so the filter design will
reduce all the peaks below the required specification.
